Why the Government Is Giving More Support

During the Budget 2026 speech, PM Wong said the government will continue strengthening social support across:

  • Education
  • Housing
  • Healthcare
  • Retirement support
  • Support for seniors and caregivers

The latest package comes as households continue facing higher living costs from inflation and global economic uncertainty.
